These both come off of the first release, <u>Keep It Raw</u> from his new label, <a href="http://www.jazzandmilk.com/main.html">Jazz &#038; Milk</a>. &#8220;Revolver Theme&#8221; is a funky, polyrhymtatic afrobeat-inspired piece, while &#8220;Salsa Step&#8221; has a touch of the salsa-dura <a href="http://needlesdj.com/2009/08/bio-ritmo-sombras/">I mentioned in a post last week</a>. Both are dancefloor fillers and full of percussion. Try not to dance to these and see what happens:</p>

I know they are from France and have put out a few 45s. I know that they love their Hammond B-3 organs, but most of all, I know that they are very skilled at the polyrhythms. At home I throw most of my polyrhythm-funk records onto my &#8220;afrobeat&#8221; shelf; for me that category ranges from Fela to War to Mandrill.
