Little Brother fans should be familiar with Khrysis. He initially cut his teeth doing tracks and remixes for the group a few years back. His sounds are pretty voluminous, and he delivers the goods here again on this track from Ev’s last EP, “The Layover”. Evidence, Phonte and Blu, an up-and-comer from LA who I recommend, all sound nice on this one. Will.i.am on the chorus…OK. Evidence has been working hard since the last Dilated Peoples LP, having put out an LP in 2007 and this EP while on tour. He and The Alchemist have recently teamed up to record an album together as The Step Brothers. Dilated+Alchemist, always something to look forward to, so let’s hope they do it right.
