The title says it all. The drums alone on this track are amazing, to say nothing of the horns. This was the lead single from Black Milk’s fourth album released in October. The album, Tronic, has a number of big name guest artists, but this song clearly showcases how strong this Detroit artist can stand on his own. The entire album is impressive, a top pick from 2008. Black Milk’s dense compositions have found their way onto a number of other albums in 2008, so I expect he will have some more great stuff in store for us this year.
